Pelican Waters Display House

Designed by Tim Christopher of Golden Beach Design, the "Baja" was one of the first display homes built in the Pelican Waters display village in Columba Place. The residence was constructed for David Reid Homes, who sadly are no longer in business. The upper room is supported on a suspended slab on steel posts, over the lower swimming pool. The kitchen and living rooms adjacent are two stories high to create a large area. The complex design of the house involved maintaining a slender roof, supporting the slab on steel posts and designing wind beams around the high living area.

We were commissioned to complete:

  • Site soil testing
  • Foundation design
  • Suspended concrete floor designs
  • Wall and roof designs
  • Inspections during construction and certification
